Estimate how many pages are in your favorite book.

Count them. How close were you?

Play a board game today with an adult.

Write a subtraction story for 12 – 9 = 3.  Share it with an adult.

Look up your last name in a phone book.  How many listings are there for your last ame?

 Gather ten toys.  Sort them by size and length.

Estimate how

long it will take

you to get ready

for bed.  Have someone time you.

Cut out a picture from a magazine or newspaper.  Make up a math story problem about the picture.

Guess the temperature.

Find out what it is?

Use cereal to make patterns.  Use 3 or 4 cereals.  Try ABC, ABB, ABCD, etc.

How many Friday’s are in this month?  Are there more Sundays than Fridays?

 

Put 20 objects on a table.  Close your eyes.  Ask someone to take away one object.  What’s missing?

Play again.

Write the fact family for 7, 6, and 13.  Make up some of your own.  You need 4 facts for each.
