Check off activities once completed!

Estimate how many people will watch the fireworks at Hebron Park.  If it costs $5 per car, how much money will be raised?

If you had one million drops of water, would you be more likely to drink it, take a bath in it or swim in it?  Why?

Walk to your mailbox.  With each step, say a 7’s multiplication fact.  On the way back, do the 8’s facts.

Take the # of jumping jacks you can do in one minute and divide it by the # of sit ups you can do in 15 seconds.

Fill a sandwich bag with cereal.  Estimate how many pieces are in the bag. Count them to see how many there are.

Measure a room in your house.  Calculate the perimeter and area.

 

A board 8 feet 4 inches long is to be cut into 4 pieces of equal length.  Find the length of each piece.

List the factors of 36 an 48.  What is the greatest common factor?

What fraction of a small bag of M&M’s is green? What percent are not red?

Count the shoes for each family member.  Find the mean, median and mode.

Write a story problem for 12*5 = ?

Estimate and then solve this:

Using an analog clock, name a time when the hands form an acute angle, a straight angle, and an obtuse angle.

Write 6 and 7 multiplication facts in the sand or practice them with a friend.

If January 1st is a Monday, in what month will the 13th fall on a Friday?

Play a number related game such as Monopoly, Yahtzee or Racko.

 

Pick a favorite summer sport and identify 2 ways math is used.  Provide examples.

Draw at least 3 different common objects you might find in your house.  Identify the polygon(s) used to draw the objects.
