Check off activities once completed!

Keep a tally of all of the American flags you see today.  What is the total # of stars you saw on all of those flags?

Multiply your age by your shoe size, then add your favorite # to it.  Divide that value by 3.

Pour some cereal into a clear plastic baggie.  Estimate how many pieces are in it?  Then, count how many and see how close your estimate was.

Make a line graph that shows how many hours you spent outside this week.

Write down the ages of all of your family members.  What is the median of the ages?

If your beach towel is 3 ft by

6 ft in size, what is the area of it?

Write out your 9 times table on a piece of paper and quiz yourself.

Go outside and measure the stem of a flower in inches.  How many cm would that be?

Take your pulse, and then jog or run 2 laps around your house.  Take your pulse again, and find the difference.

If you bought 3 CD’s each costing $12.99, and paid with a $50 bill, what would your change be?

Practice your 7 times tables with an adult.  Say your toughest fact out loud 5 times.

Find something in your house that forms an acute angle.  Point it out to someone in your family.

 

Count how many times you have eaten ice cream so far this summer.  Multiply that # by 67.

Describe to an adult how you used math in an everyday activity today.

Find a recipe and multiply each ingredient measure by 3.

 

 

Go outside and draw a shape on your driveway with chalk.  Then measure its sides and calculate its perimeter.

Find a deck of cards and shuffle it.  Flip 2 cards over at a time and multiply the 2 #’s in your head.  Do this until the deck runs out.

Measure your shadow in the morning and evening.  What is the difference between the two measurements?
