LEARNING DISABILITIES:

Does your child struggle with school?  Does he or she dread reading out loud, writing an essay, or tackling a math problem?  While every child has trouble with homework from time to time, if a certain area of learning is consistently problematic, it might indicate a learning disorder.  By understanding all you can about learning disabilities, you can ensure your child gets the right help to overcome classroom challenges and succeed in life.  To learn more about learning disabilities, click on the link below.

AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDERS:

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and autism are both general terms for a group of complex disorders of brain development.  These disorders are characterized, in varying degrees, by difficulties in social interaction, verbal and nonverbal communication and repetitive behaviors.  With the May 2013 publication of the DSM-5 diagnostic manual, all autism disorders were merged into one umbrella diagnosis of ASD.  Previously, they were recognized as distinct subtypes, including autistic disorder, childhood disintegrative disorder, pervasive developmental disorder-not otherwise specified (PDD-NOS) and Asperger syndrome.  To learn more about ASD, click on the link below.  Within this website, you can access important information pertaining to the topics below and much more:
