¡Bienvenidos a la clase de Señora May!
I am thrilled to be back for another year of Elementary Spanish at HW Porter. Last year was an exciting and challenging adventure. I am eager to be back and start teaching Spanish again. ¡Vamos!
This year, through the lens of Mexican culture we will be expanding our Spanish vocabulary. Some of the topics we will cover include: Ancient Mexico, Mexican artists, geography and holidays. We will be learning new songs and making crafts in the style of the artists we learn about.
A fun activity that is going on all year this year is going to our bulletin board of “Español en Todas las Partes,” or “Spanish is Everywhere.” I am challenging my students and their families to take a look in the world around them and find examples of Spanish. When you find one, bring it in (or take a picture and print it out) and we will put it on the board! Some great places to look are museums, which often have pamphlets in many languages. Keep an eye out and let’s see how much we can add to our board!
As always, anyone can reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you ever have any questions or concern, send me an email! I will get back to you as soon as possible.
