AHM Juvenile Review Board
The purpose of the Juvenile Review Board (JRB) is to offer an alternative to the juvenile justice system for children ages 7-17 who are experiencing crisis or conflict in the community, at home, and/or at school. The objectives of the JRB for participating youth are: personal responsibility, rehabilitation, education, deterrence, prevention, empowering families, utilizing community resources, and avoiding a criminal record. Board members represent a wide variety of disciplines within our communities, including police, probation, school administration, school social workers, DCF, community members, and community partners/resources. All JRB members are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of every case.
