My name is Señorita Ancona and it is my pleasure to introduce myself as the K-3 Horace W. Porter Spanish Teacher. I hope students have come home and shared a bit about what they have been learning in Spanish class. Below are some links to what we have been working on and will continue to work on for the next few weeks. Feel free to reinforce learning at home and please email me any questions you may have at firstname.lastname@example.org. Class lessons involve lots of singing, dancing, and hands-on fun using teaching techniques called “Comprehensible Input” (CI) and “Total Physical Response” (TPR). For more information about how these teaching styles work, please refer to these articles:
Everyone has been doing a super job following PAWS expectations which makes learning more fun! Stay tuned for more articles and updates as the year progresses. Here are the Units we have been working on:
Kinder - The face and 5 senses
1st - Feelings
2nd - The weather
3rd - Verbs, likes and dislikes
Starting November 14th we will begin new units. As those units unfold, they will be posted here. Have a great school year!
