KINDERGARTEN/PRESCHOOL 2024

Is your child turning 5 after September 1, 2024 or born between September 1 through December 31, 2019 and September 1 through  December 31, 2020?

A survey has been created to assist us in identifying what school options families would prefer for children who are affected by the change of kindergarten start date to the age of 5 by September 1st, 2024.  Please access the survey HERE.

This survey will remain open until Friday, December 1, 2023.

HUMAN RESOURCES

2023-2024 COVID Practices

The federal COVID-19 health emergency expired in May of 2023. Columbia Public Schools will start the 2023-2024 school year without most of the COVID-19 practices we have followed in the past few years including the public reporting of the number of cases. However, COVID-19 continues to circulate.

As always, students and staff should take simple actions such as staying home when sick, washing hands, and covering their mouths when coughing and sneezing. Those testing positive for COVID should notify the school nurse, stay home if students are exhibiting symptoms of illness.  We will continue to clean and ventilate our schools. We will keep our school community informed and adjust our practices if the level of community transmission requires a different approach to protect the health and safety of students and staff.
