Curriculum and Instruction Overview

In short, curriculum is WHAT students are learning and instruction is HOW they learn it.  The Columbia School District curriculum is aligned with the CT Core Standards.  We work to continually improve teaching and learning with the help of our Teaching and Learning Specialist and Content Area Coaches. Together, these leaders  support our faculty and students to realize their full potential.

Kara Levenduski is our Teaching and Learning Specialist .   Columbia School District also has  Content Area Coaches who provide instruction and intervention support.  Dawn Bedard and Keri Costanzo  are our Math Coaches,   Andrea Ortiz  is our Literacy Coach and Caitlin Pelletier is our Reading Instructional Coach.
